1. He used to be black

2. One of his hobbies is observing brain surgery. Said a surgeon who presided over an operation he attended: "Jackson was smiling through the whole thing"

3. He keeps life-sized mannequins of young boys in his bedroom. Clarifies Jackson pal Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (author of Kosher Sex): "He has two mannequins, and they're kind of cute."

4. In 1995, Jackson bought a family of mannequins - a mother, father and two children - from a New York design shop. When the store owner delivered them to his hotel suite, he found the room FULL of mannequins.

5. In 1996, Scottish bookies bet 500-1 odds that Jackson and LeToya are the same person. (Bets are off now).

6. Before having sex with second wife Debbie Rowe, he would dance around as Peter Pan, all dressed up in the costume too. He would also wear a horse's head and gallop around on a broomstick.

7. About his interest in the movie Peter Pan, he once said, "We can fly you know. We just don't think the right things to levitate ourselves."

8. Last year, Britain's Mercury newspaper reported that he had asked Elizabeth Taylor - who is 26 years his senior - to marry him in a "sexless union." She apparently Declined.

9. He admits to four nose jobs, the first in 1979, when he took a slice of his old nose home in a bottle.

10. His favorite movie is Face/Off (joke)

11. In 1997, Jackson was made a tribesman of Bafokeng Ka Bakwena (People of the Crocodile) in Africa. During the ceremony, Jackson walked through town while wailing women lined his path.

12. His new album - as yet untitled and without a release date - is reportedly the most expensive in music history. With producer Rodney Jenkins, he has recorded over 50 tracks. Displeased Sony execs sent him back into the studio.

13. In 1997, the British arm of Jackson's Heal the World charity - established in 1992 to raise $100 million to help children and the environment - was eliminated "to cut costs," according to a spokesman.

14. Last summer he was sued by his promoter of 30 years, Marcel Avram, who claims Jackson siphoned the proceeds of four millenium benefit concerts by canceling two appearances and for "bombastic spending" that was 10 times that of other participants like Mariah Carey and Ringo Starr.

15. He once tore up $100,000 in cash for fun. (The Heal the World charity no doubt, laughed so hard they cried.)

16. He was a virgin until age 35.

17. Starring in Playstation 2's Ready to Rumble: Round 2, he confuses opponents with the Moonwalk and highpitched squeals. "Michael's a natural boxer," said a Playstation official. "He did all his own moves."

18. He will star in the film The Nightmare of Edgar Allan Poe - as Poe. "Michael's not going to look exactly like Poe, " concedes the film's producer. "But when you won't be able to tell the difference between them 10 minutes into the picture."
