The pictures below are the silkworms from week 7. (Posted 5/20/01)
Some silkworms have turned into moths!
Some are still in the metamorphosis stage but I got the both cocoon and non-cocooned pictures!
Some have even started reproducing!
These silkworms are domesticated so they cannot fly but they still flap their wings a lot.
1 and 2: This is what they look like in their cocoons, the will lose their dark outer shell when they're ready to turn into moths.
3: The one on the bottom right corner is flapping his wings.
4 and 5: The mating has begun, the female and male sticks to eachother's opposite ends.
7. Top view. Not visible: Rare moth, head still of silkworm instead of two antennae like bangs.
